	Kathleen Van Ella, Founder of Portraits/Chicago Inc., is an Art Consultant who offers 25 years experience working in close association with artists and placing artworks and Fine Portrait Paintings. Utilizing her background in interior design and teaching, she is an able contributor to all forms of site-specific tasks, traditional or contemporary, for the visual arts. She has participated in nine international art exhibitions. She shares her experiences with large and small groups as a Speaker.
Portraits/Chicago Inc. represents fine Portrait Painters, offering a wide choice of critically-acclaimed Portrait Artists for Corporate, Academic, and Family commissions. Also included are large-scale narrative or event-oriented mural paintings in canvas or ceramic tile. Founded in 1980, the group carries the banner for the historic art tradition of fine portraiture. Clients are from all areas of corporate, academic, sports and artistic life.
Portraits/Chicago Inc. also offers Sculptors, who work in all stone and metal mediums, for site-specific monuments and Bronze Sculpture. In December 1993, The Chicago Bulls requested Kathleen Van Ella to locate the Sculptor who could do the 12' bronze, in flight, of Michael Jordan for The United Center. Acting as Project Coordinator for the work, the firm received the 1995 Special Merit Award for Public Art from the Chicago Bar Association for "The Spirit".
